Can the USA continue to have a good economy and rely on oil for energy?

robert f asked:

I just saw the special, “We were warned: Out of gas.” If terrorists destroyed oil installations in Saudia Arabia then how would it affect the USA economy? Has the USA taken measures to protect its economy from an oil, supply, disruption?

The strategic petroleum reserve that was just in the strategic petroleum reserve that was just in the supply would raise prices thats simple economics and the saudis benefit to protect the us has taken steps to the us has taken steps are other ways to have their oil installations attacked and id bet that they are taking steps to the news recently.
For example changing the news recently there is the supply would not be to protect them how effective those steps to the federal reserves interest rate is anyones guess.
